Quality deck installers – West Midlands.

The Paving and Landscape Co are also professional deck builders.

Experienced in using softwood decking such as Southern Yellow Pine and Western Red Cedar. Also Hardwoods like Balau and Iroko.

Building a deck is a great way of overcoming sloping sites, offering a practical, aesthetically pleasing and economical solution.

I particularly recommend Southern Yellow for its strength, durability and looks.  Southern Pine is kiln dried and carries a 30 year guarantee against rot and decay. With a smooth profile, knot free and radius edge it’s highly pleasing. It has a pronounced grain which aids slip resistance and requires little maintenance.

Our decks are supported using post and beam construction. For a glimpse see picture below.

All timber used for this project is Southern Yellow Pine renowned for its superior structural strength.

Joists resting on beams are held together using noggins, stainless steel fixings and screws.

This finished deck ( shown below ) has an attractive wrap around step.

Deck designs can also incorporate balustrades, seating and pergolas making your outdoor room truly great for entertainment and relaxation.

Paving ideas, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and West Midlands.

Patios, Driveways and Gardens have the potential to be stunning outside spaces. It’s well worth investing the time to think through the design concepts in order to achieve something that exceeds your expectations.

I’ll be discussing our projects, talking them through with pictures as they undergo transformation. The clients for this particular project requested a paving area to interlink the new barn to the house. Looking at the before picture you can see how sad and uninspiring it looks. Probably how your typical suburban garden looks (chuckles to himself)

The rigorousness of the barn and back of the house dictated a design incorporating curves to link the two together. Retaining walls built in Flemish bond curve towards the barn, then wrap around part of the circular paving area.

Paving materials were carefully chosen to radiate from the circle, giving a strong architectural look to the design. Lights inserted into the wall add another dimension to this garden at night-time.  The materials used for this project were Marshalls Haworth Moor Silver Birch ( now called Fairstone ) paving and sawn setts. Granite setts were also used for edging part of the circle and seating area under tree canopy. A seat placed under a birch tree provides a resting place along with a water feature nearby complete the scheme. The result is a stunning garden,  a true testament to the skills we uphold.
